Vispero Account – Frequently Asked Questions
General Account Questions
Do I need internet to use my Vispero software, or only to sign in?
Internet access is required to create an account. Once you are signed in, you can use JAWS, ZoomText, or Fusion as you normally would, whether you are connected to the internet.
How do I know if I already have a Vispero or Portal account?
If you’ve signed in on our website, the Store, or the Vispero Portal using your email and a password, then you already have an account. If you’re unsure, try the “Forgot Password” option with your email address. If you currently manage your licenses through the Freedom Scientific Portal, nothing changes—you can continue using it as you always have.
Can I use the same account for Home and Pro licenses?
Yes. You can sign in with the same Vispero Account regardless of which license type you use. Your account is used for sign-in and does not change how your license works today.
Can I change my login email address later?
Yes, but this update must be done by Support. Call 1-800-444-4443 or use the Support form, and our team can help you update the email on your account.
What if I have different work and home email addresses?
You can choose the email that makes the most sense for you. Your choice of email for signing in does not affect how your license is handled.
Does signing in affect privacy? Why is birthdate required? Is data collected?
Signing in helps verify your identity and ensures the software behaves correctly for your age group. We do not collect personal usage data from JAWS, ZoomText, or Fusion as part of this process, and your license is not connected to your account today.
Why is signing in required at all?
Signing in helps confirm who is using the software and supports improvements to installation, updates, and future account-based features. It does not change how your license works today.
Schools and Students
Do staff or students each need their own account?
We recommend that each person has their own account, so it is linked to the correct individual. This also helps prepare users for future account-based features.
How do minors or K–12 students create accounts? What birthdate should be used?
They should use their real birthdate so the correct age-based behavior can be applied in our software.
Shared, Restricted, or Multi-Device Environments
How do accounts work on shared or public computers?
Users can sign in with their account and later sign out after using the computer.
Can multiple installs or multiple devices use the same account?
Yes, multiple devices can use the same account. We encourage users not to share their login information, so the account stays tied to the correct individual.
