Keystroke Description

Nov 4: ZoomText Command: Open the Quick Access Toolbar

Keystroke Description
CAPS LOCK+RIGHT MOUSE CLICK Opens the Quick Access Toolbar in Zoomtext.

Nov 5: JAWS Command: Open call dialog

Keystroke Description
ALT+WINDOWS+C Opens a dialog for quickly responding to an incoming call from Teams, Phone Link, or Skype.

Nov 6: Fusion Command: Restore factory default settings

Keystroke Description
ALT+F, C Restores factory default settings.

Nov 7: JAWS Command: Announce the time including seconds

Nov 12: ZoomText Command: Launch AppReader

Keystroke Description
CAPS LOCK+SPACEBAR, A Launches AppReader, a productivity tool that uses ZoomText speech to automatically read documents, web pages, and emails while you visually follow along or relax your eyes and listen. While reading text aloud, a visual highlight also moves along as words are read.

Nov 13: JAWS Command: Describe an image in Context with PictureSmart AI

Nov 14: Fusion Command: Activate Mouse Mode in Picture Smart AI

Keystroke Description
CAPS LOCK+CTRL+P Use Mouse Mode in Picture Smart AI to select a specific area of a picture for analysis. Picture Smart AI describes only that area instead of describing the entire picture or screen. For a Fusion user, using the mouse to select items on the screen can be faster than using keyboard commands. The mouse also offers greater control when selecting specific parts of a picture.

Nov 15: JAWS Command: Suspend Navigation Quick Keys

INSERT+SHIFT+Z CAPS LOCK+SHIFT+Z Temporarily suspends the use of Navigation Quick Keys when on a web page while still using the Virtual PC Cursor to navigate and read content. This is useful if you need to use keystrokes native to a particular website that conflict with the use of Navigation Quick Keys like H for heading, T for table, ETC. Navigation Quick Keys resume when you move focus away from the current browser window, navigate to a new page, or execute the command once more.

Nov 18: ZoomText Command: Turn xFont Bold On/Off

Keystroke Description
CAPS LOCK+B or CAPS LOCK+SPACEBAR, M, B Bold text can improve readability for some individuals by providing additional contrast. xFont Bold is a ZoomText and Fusion setting that adds boldness to text displayed in: Text and ribbons in Office 365 apps, Screen Enhancement Settings, Voice Settings, and Preferences Settings in ZoomText and Fusion, and on the Windows desktop. Turn xFont Bold on/off using either of these keystrokes.


Nov 19: JAWS Command: Announce Work Week

INSERT+CTRL+F12 twice quickly CAPS LOCK+CTRL+F12 twice quickly This keystroke is available in JAWS 2025. Use it to announce the current week number such as Week 47, Week 48, etc. This is especially useful if you use week numbers to keep track of work time in weeks. To execute the command, hold down INSERT+CTRL or CAPS LOCK+CTRL, then press F12 twice quickly.

Nov 20: Fusion Command: Fusion Mouse Mode in Convenient OCR

Keystroke Description
CAPS LOCK+CTRL+O Convenient OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a feature that recognizes text in inaccessible PDF documents, screen images, and image files. Mouse Mode allows you to launch Convenient OCR in Fusion with a keystroke, then use the mouse to quickly select a portion of text, then have it recognized and read back to you.  . This feature runs locally on your computer and does not require use of the internet.

Nov 21: JAWS Command: Say App Version

CTRL+INSERT+V CTRL+CAPS LOCK+ V Speaks the version of the application in focus. Hold down CTRL with INSERT or CAPS LOCK, then press V once to hear the application version, or twice quickly to display the version details in the virtual viewer.

Nov 22: ZoomText Command: Toggle Overview Mode on/off

Keystroke Description
CAPS LOCK+O Overview mode shows you the area of the screen that is currently being magnified and allows you to select a new area to zoom in on. When Overview mode is activated, magnification turns off and the View Locator appears in the normal screen. By moving the mouse pointer, the View Locator moves over the unmagnified screen allowing you to select a new area to zoom in on.

Use this command to OCR the text in an Image File or inaccessible PDF document directly to a Microsoft Word document.
