Freedom Scientific Releases 2019 Versions of JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion
Up-to-date with the latest releases of Windows® 10 and Office 365, more responsive than ever, and a new Home Annual License available for US markets
(Clearwater, Florida - November 01, 2018)Freedom Scientific today introduced the simultaneous releases of the 2019 versions of the leading screen access products, JAWS® for Windows, ZoomText®, and Fusion™.
Significant new features include:
- Faster startup time for all products
- The most responsive experience to-date working with Microsoft Office 365, Office 2016, and the recently released Office 2019
- Audio Ducking for JAWS and Fusion with the most recent versions of Windows 10
- User-definable favorite magnification levels for ZoomText and Fusion users
- JAWS Screen Shade added to Fusion 2019
- Navigating with the Tab Key and switching windows with Alt Tab is now less verbose by default
- New economical annual licenses and self-managed licensing portal for JAWS and ZoomText home users in the United States
From the moment users begin to download and install this new version, they will experience the changes, starting with faster downloads and improvements to the installation process for all products.
With the introduction of the 2019 release of JAWS and ZoomText, home users in the United States will have access to Home Annual Licenses, providing an affordable way for new users or those that have fallen behind on their version to get access to the latest version of the software for under $100. In addition, accessing and managing license deployment for these home users will be provided through a simple to use, self-managed licensing portal. “The opportunity to expand the reach of our products to all home users at these prices should have a tremendous impact to thousands of users who could not otherwise afford to,” says Eric Damery, Vice President of Software Product Management.
The JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion 2019 upgrades are Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) releases and can be downloaded from the Freedom Scientific download pages. JAWS and Fusion include English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, French Canadian, Arabic, Portuguese, Hebrew, and Russian have all posted simultaneously. DVD shipments to SMA holders in the United States and Canada will commence within a week. New orders for all products will offer the 2019 versions effective immediately.
