Short Description:

Scanning Mode of Process Image File sometimes does not load/open image.

Problem:

Selecting the scanning mode "Process Image File" sometimes does not load or open an image, particulariy if the file type is .tif. If you then press Scan again, TestTalker will start scanning from your scanner if you have one attached. If you don't have a scanner attached, you will get this error message: "scanner initialization failed -- 1."

Solution:

If this occurs, close and reopen TestTalker. TestTalker does not have the capability to process that file through Process Image File. Open that file (.tif, .PCX, .DCX, or any type of file) using another application and then print it to the TestTalker Virtual Printer. The Virtual Printer will process the file and it should then display correctly within TestTalker.
