Short Description:

When you uninstall WYNN, TestTalker no longer speaks.

Problem:

When uninstalling WYNN there is a question that comes up during the uninstall, "An option you selected requires that files be installed on your system, or files be uninstalled from your system, or both. A read-only file, C:\Windows\SSILEXE.EXE was found while performing the needed file operations on your system. To perform the file operation, click the Yes button; otherwise click No."

If you select "No" here, there is no bug and TestTalker speaks just fine.

If you select "Yes," TestTalker and other applications may no longer have speech. Any time you click on the TestTalker icon (either Student or Teacher Edition) you will get, "SSIL Load SSILEXE failed OK".

Solution:

If you experience this problem, you can either:

A) Run a Repair from the TestTalker Teacher or Student Edition CD to fix those applications; or

B) You can reinstall WYNN, then remove it and answer "No" to the following question: "An option you selected requires that file be installed you system, or files be uninstalled from your system, or both. A read-only file, C:\Windows\SSILEXE.EXE was found while performing the needed file operations on your system. To perform the file operation, click the Yes button; otherwise click No."
