Short Description:

Scanning in Background on certain scanners functions like Scan in Batch mode.

Problem:

This problem has been encountered on the Visioneer 9650, Epson Perfection 1640SU, and may be found on other scanners with an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). When setting the scanning mode to Scan in Background and placing paper in the ADF, pages will be scanned into TestTalker as if in Express Batch in Background mode. In other words, the pages continue to be scanned in without stopping instead of scanning one page at a time and then processing that page.

Solution:

If you wish to use Scan in Background mode either:

A) place one page at a time in the ADF; or

B) DO not use the ADF. Instead, place the pages directly on the scanner.
