Freedom Scientific's SARA™ (Scanning and Reading Appliance) is an affordable and easy-to-use solution for those who are blind or have low-vision to read a wide variety of printed material including books, mail, newspapers, magazines, and so much more.

 

The SARA is a fantastic solution for people who have difficulty reading small type and
are not comfortable using a computer. With the press of a button, you can scan reading material and have it read back to you. Have the SARA continuously read, read by line, word - even by letter, if you don't understand a word and need it spelled out. Pause when you need to, rewind, and fast forward.

Choose among human-like voices that are the most natural-sounding and pleasant in any standalone scanning and reading system. The SARA features 29 voices in 19 language dialects and 12 major languages.


You can start using SARA right out of the box, with no experience or training. Just place your book or document on the scanning area, and press the scan button. SARA automatically scans and recognizes the text, and reads it to you.


The SARA plays most audio formats, and even
comes with a starter library of classic audio books!
