SlovoEd by Penreader is a multilingual dictionary that uses high-quality dictionary databases from world-famous linguistic companies and adapts them for Pocket PC. This dictionary program allows you to search and translate words in Pocket Word.
SlovoEd provides a convenient interface that can hold a large number of entries for quick translation. It offers low memory consumption and the ability to install several language pairs at the same time. The languages available with this product are:

Ensure that ActiveSync is installed on your desktop computer, and that the PAC Mate is connected to your computer with either a standard or guest partnership.
On your PC, go to www.penreader.com/PocketPC.html to download the SlovoEd Dictionary language(s) of your choice.
When installation from your PC completes, you should receive a message on your PAC Mate that the system must be restarted for installation to complete. When you press F1to clear this message, the installation software will cause the PAC Mate to perform a warm reset.
When SlovoEd finishes installing on your PAC Mate, there will be the main SlovoEd Dictionary program found in the Programs submenu and a resident module associated with Pocket Word, You access the resident module through the Context menu of thIs Pocket PC program.
In addition, SlovoEd installs a new folder in the Programs Submenu of the Start Menu on your PC, which contains help manuals and a link to SlovoEd updates.
Open SlovoEd from the Programs submenu of the Start Menu. In the edit combo box type the word you want translated. Press DOTS 4-5 CHORD to hear the translated definition of the word. Or press DOTS 4-5 CHORD again to move to the list box and use the arrow keys to move the list of associated words. A new definition will appear as you move to each word in the list.
Note: The part of speech is also shown with the definition of each word. For instance, adv. = adverb, adj. = adjective, expr. = expression
This convenient feature allows you to translate a word in Pocket Word. For example, with a word selected in Pocket Word, just open the Context menu and choose translate. The selected word will appear in a resident module with associated translations from which you can choose.
You can switch the languages of a dictionary so that translation is reversed. For instance, from Spanish to English or English to Spanish. You do this by opening SlovoEd from the Programs submenu, pressing F2, and choosing Switch Dictionary.
This option is important because switching the direction of language translation in the main SlovoEd program does not work in the resident module of Pocket PC programs. To do this you must open SlovoEd from the Programs submenu, press F2, and choose Dictionary. From the Dictionary submenu, choose Change Dictionary... . In the list box use the arrow keys to choose the dictionary you want to use for translation. Choose the Details button to prioritize your collection of dictionaries.
