Short Description:
Unknown function calls intermittently heard in Outlook 2007 when editing or reading a message.
Problem:
If you open an e-mail message and then do a reply, JAWS may say "unknown function call" when the message is sent and focus returns to the previously opened e-mail message. This issue is intermittent and only occurs in JAWS version 10.0.512, released November 2008.
Solution:
If you have JAWS 10.0.512, you can correct the issue via an alternative script
set available for download:
- Download the file Outlook2007UnknownFunctionCallFixForJAWS10.0.512.zip.
Once the file is downloaded, do the following:
- Copy Outlook2007UnknownFunctionCallFixForJAWS10.0.512.zip to a folder on
your computer where you want the files to be extracted, then use Windows to
extract them. This zip file contains the following files:
- microsoft outlook 2007.jsb
- Microsoft outlook 2007.jss
- Microsoft word 2007.jsb
- Microsoft word 2007.jss
- msoffice2007.jsh
- Select the five files and press CTRL+C to copy.
- Open your start menu and navigate to All Programs, JAWS 10, Explore JAWS,
Explore My Settings, then press CTRL+V to paste the files into your
JAWS user settings folder.
