Objectives
By the end of this workshop you will understand, be able to discuss, and/or perform the following tasks as they relate to File Explorer in Windows 8 using JAWS® screen reading software:
- Learn the layout of the new File Explorer window
- Explain at least one of the changes in the evolution of Windows Explorer from Windows Vista to File Explorer in Windows 8
- Tab order in the File Explorer window
- Tab order in the Ribbons
- Contextual tabs in File Explorer
- Navigate the tree view, list view, ribbon, and more
- Create a folder and move files from one location to another
- Change the View settings
- Use column headers to sort by name, date modified, type, or size
- Use the search feature
- Use Libraries
