Regional Sales Manager

Freedom Scientific is looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to manage a multi-state territory based in California. This position is responsible for developing and increasing demand for Freedom Scientific products in the territory by working with key industry leaders, government agencies, corporations, and authorized dealers. The position is responsible for demand generation as well as working with the authorized dealers in the territory to optimize total sales within the territory. The primary states of the Territory are California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona.

Candidates will work from a home office with office equipment and ongoing telecommunication and supply costs supplied/reimbursed by the Company.

Although the job location is not specified, the successful candidate must be located in a site that allows full and simple access to the various States within the territory. Approved business travel costs are reimbursable by the Company.

Excellent salary is commensurate with experience and successful track record.

The successful candidate must have at least a Bachelor's degree and must have five years experience working with assistive technology products along with three years experience in a sales or related function. Experience working with various local, state and federal agencies or affiliated organizations that deal with vision issues has proven invaluable in candidate’s ultimate success. Counselors, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, members of the optometry and ophthalmic industry, including technicians and marketing representatives, are encouraged to apply.

Excellent computer skills required, including a working knowledge of file structures and operating systems. Accomplished communications skills are a must. Although this position requires extensive “out-of-office” travel, overnight travel within the territory generally averages 25%-30%.
