Calendar
To get to Calendar
Press the Windows key and C until Calendar is announced.
Press ENTER.

The List View is presented, and you will hear the date for
an appointment, defaulted at today. If you previously added items to
the calendar, you also will hear other items that are scheduled
for the day.
Items are in a List View. If there is more than one item, press the
UP and DOWN ARROWS to move between items.
For new appointment
Press CTRL+N.
Subject: Edit Combo
You are automatically in Edit Combo. You can arrow down through predefined
entries to choose what you need to change. Alternatively, you also may
enter your specific calendar event in the edit field. Once you have picked
an entry or typed in your calendar entry, press ENTER.
At this point, you can use the UP and DOWN ARROWS to move
through the rest of the choices for that event.
Once you have pressed ENTER from "Creating a New Appointment,"
you will be returned to the List View. You will hear "Subject" as
the top item of 11 choices. Press the arrow keys to move up or down to
each
item.
When you
are at an item you want to change, press ENTER to make
the change. Once you are done, press ENTER again to save that item.
Settings you must set or may change:
- "Subject" - type in the subject for the
meeting. Press ENTER to save.

- "Location" - type in where the meeting
will be held. Press ENTER to save.

- "Starts" - press UP and DOWN
ARROWS to change the start time by half-hour increments. Press
ENTER to save.
If you need to change the start date for the appointment as well, press
ALT+D. This will bring up a Date Selector window. In
this window, you can change the date for the appointment. To move by
date, press the right or left arrow keys. For more Date Selector
commands, press Insert F1+H. This brings up the context-sensitive
help for the Date Selector screen. Press ESC to close
the message and return to the Date Selector. Once you have the correct
date set, press ENTER to return to the new appointment
screen.

- "Ends" - Calendar defaults to one hour
later than the start time you designated. Press ENTER to change
this default, using UP AND DOWN ARROWS to move in
half-hour increments, just as you did for "Starts." Press ENTER to
save.

- "All day" - This is set to "No" by
default; pressing ENTER allows you to change it to "Yes." Press ENTER to
save.

- "Occurs" - the default is set to "Once"
(the event occurs only once). If you press ENTER you
can change notification of this event to occur weekly,
monthly, yearly, or in some sort of free-form pattern. Press ENTER to
save.

- "Reminder" - The default is set to remind
you 15 minutes before the event. If you press ENTER,
you can change whether or not you are automatically reminded of
the event by using the UP or DOWN ARROWS. Press ENTER
to save. If you want to be reminded by more than 15 minutes, do
the following: to change the reminder interval, press ALT+L
, then arrow up or down to choose the interval (e.g. minutes, hours,
etc.). Press ENTER to save. To change the
time for the interval, press ALT+T and then type in
the time, (e.g. 1). Press ENTER to save.

- "Category" - You can choose to assign
an event to a category. Press ENTER to change the
category. Choices are
business, holiday, personal. Press ENTER to
save.

- "Attendees" - This allows you to invite
others to the meeting. Press ENTER to select this option then choose
attendees from your Contacts list. Press ENTER to
save.

- "Status" - you may set the status to "Free,"
"Tentative," "Busy," or "Out of Office."
Press ENTER to change the status and the up and down
arrows to select which status to set it to; press ENTER
when you are done. Press ENTER to
save.

- "Sensitivity" - you may also set sensitivity levels for the meeting of normal and private. Press Enter to change the sensitivity and the up and down arrows to select which sensitivity to set it to; press Enter when you are done. Press Enter to save.

To save the event, press ESC.
If the calendar event you just created is for today, it will populate Today screen.
