ActiveSync between your PC and PAC MateActiveSync synchronizes information on your desktop with information on the PAC Mate. This process updates both with the most recent information. What You NeedIn order to run ActiveSync, you must have Outlook 2000 (or later) on your PC. Outlook Express will not work for ActiveSync. If you do not have Outlook 2000, a copy is included on the companion disk. Before you install ActiveSync, make sure your PAC Mate is not hooked up to your PC. Insert the PAC Mate Companion CD into your PC. Find link called "Start Here." (hear example) Installing ActiveSync on the PCIf at any point you want to hear all the text in the dialog box, press INSERT+B. You can confirm what button you are on by pressing INSERT+E. Choosing What to SynchronizePress TAB, then press the SPACEBAR on the "Next" button. You are now in a list view with nine items that you can check to include in the synchronization process. (hear example) Check or uncheck items by pressing the SPACEBAR.
All the items above have settings buttons if you want to customize this process further. To continue, press the SPACEBAR on the "Next" button. Then press SPACEBAR on the "Finish" button. ActiveSync will take place automatically. All information chosen will be synchronized within a few moments. Any changes made on the PAC Mate will be reflected on the computer next time ActiveSync takes place. The next ActiveSync runs, it will not ask for choices of items to be synchronized; it will just take place automatically.
