TestTalker Tip:
Teacher Edition and Student Edition
TestTalker has
two modules:
- Teacher
Edition, a test-creating product
designed for teachers. It scans pre-printed tests and allows
teachers to configure them to enable students to take tests electronically. The
demo CD is of the Teacher Edition.
- Student
Edition, a test-taking product.
It reads the test aloud and allows students to answer the questions.
Use
the Teacher Edition to:
- Scan or
import a test.
- Insert answer controls into
the test using the Fill-in+, Multiple
Choice and True/False buttons.
- Try out the
test as the student will.
We recommend
that you use TestTalker Teacher Edition following the steps
below.
- Open TestTalker.
- Scan, open,
or import a
test, form, or worksheet into TestTalker.
- Check
the reading order. Use Dynamic Zoning to
re-define OCR zones to change the reading order if desired. It
is important that this be completed prior to steps #4 and #5, or
else
changes made
during those steps will be lost when TestTalker’s OCR software
re-recognizes the document (see Dynamic Zoning Tips for more information).
- Clean
up any errors in scanning using the Clean-Up
button.
- Insert
answer blanks for
Fill-in, Extended Answer, Multiple Choice, and True/False.
- Check
the answer blanks in the test, form,
or worksheet, as a student would, using Student Mode.
- Erase
answers you may have added while
checking out the test. You may want to print this out first
to use it
as an answer
key.
- Save material
to disk or other place where students have access.
Use
the Student Edition to:
- Open a
test that has been prepared in the Teacher Edition.
- Complete the
test or worksheet by typing your answers into the fill-in blanks,
or clicking on the multiple choice or true/false buttons.
- Read the
test aloud, including both the questions and the answers the
student has added.
- Save and print the
test when completed.
