5.0 Creating Scripts

In Chapter 4, you read about many of the features available for your use in the Script Manager. This chapter discusses using the Script Manager to create your scripts and functions.

You can use the New Script dialog to create new scripts and user-defined functions. You use this dialog to enter the script or function name, synopsis, description, and more. You can open the New script dialog from the Script menu or by pressing the keystroke shortcut, CTRL+E.

After you have created the new script or function, you can use the Insert Function dialog to add a variety of functions to the body of the script or function. You can access the Insert Function dialog from the Script menu or by pressing the keystroke shortcut, CTRL+I.
