WHAT IS BETA TESTING?

When software nears release, testing under a broad range of conditions, uses, and environments (beta testing) can expose issues that were not discovered during earlier testing. Beta testing includes using client software (the program that runs on your computer) and, in the case of upgraded software new features. While beta testing you access and use features before they are available to the general public.

Beta testing involves using the software under broad circumstances and reporting any problems, quirks, bugs, etc. This will support a more issue-free product upon public release.

Private beta testers sign a Non-Disclosure-Agreement and are thus under contractual obligation to maintain confidentiality.
